udakenaiva tāṁ rātrimūṣuste duḥkhakarśitāḥ.

40.
And having reached that banyan tree with the remaining daylight, those heroic Pāṇḍavas, after touching pure water, stayed there for that night. Emaciated by sorrow, they spent that entire night subsisting on water alone.
