सुविज्ञेयः पुरुषोऽन्यत्रकामो निन्दाप्रशंसे हि तथा युनक्ति ।
जिह्वा मनस्ते हृदयं निर्व्यनक्ति ज्यायो निराह मनसः प्रातिकूल्यम् ॥२॥

A person (puruṣa) whose desire is for another is easily known, for they engage in blame and praise accordingly. Your tongue reveals the thoughts of your heart; indeed, the antagonism of the mind speaks more powerfully.
