महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-29, verse-7

तथा मध्यमिकायांश्च वाटधानान्द्विजानथ ।
पुनश्च परिवृत्याथ पुष्करारण्यवासिनः ॥७॥
7. tathā madhyamikāyāṁśca vāṭadhānāndvijānatha ,
punaśca parivṛtyātha puṣkarāraṇyavāsinaḥ.

punaḥ ca parivṛtya atha puṣkarāraṇyavāsinaḥ
7. Similarly, he also brought the Madhyamikās and the Vāṭadhānas under control. Then, he subjugated the twice-born (dvijāḥ) people, and again, having turned back, he conquered the inhabitants of the Puṣkara forest.
