महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-29, verse-19

एवं प्रतीचीं नकुलो दिशं वरुणपालिताम् ।
विजिग्ये वासुदेवेन निर्जितां भरतर्षभः ॥१९॥
19. evaṁ pratīcīṁ nakulo diśaṁ varuṇapālitām ,
vijigye vāsudevena nirjitāṁ bharatarṣabhaḥ.

vijigye vāsudevena nirjitām bharatarṣabhaḥ
19. Thus, Nakula, the best of the Bhāratas (bharatarṣabha), conquered the western direction, which is protected by Varuṇa and had already been subdued by Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa).
