महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-14, verse-8

अतन्द्रितस्तु प्रायेण दुर्बलो बलिनं रिपुम् ।
जयेत्सम्यङ्नयो राजन्नीत्यार्थानात्मनो हितान् ॥८॥
8. atandritastu prāyeṇa durbalo balinaṁ ripum ,
jayetsamyaṅnayo rājannītyārthānātmano hitān.
8. atandritaḥ tu prāyeṇa durbalaḥ balinam ripum |
jayet samyak nayaḥ rājan nītyā arthān ātmanaḥ hitān
8. However, a diligent person, even if generally weak, can often conquer a strong enemy through sound policy. O King, one secures one's own beneficial objectives (artha) by means of policy (nīti).
