महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-14, verse-7

भीम उवाच ।
अनारम्भपरो राजा वल्मीक इव सीदति ।
दुर्बलश्चानुपायेन बलिनं योऽधितिष्ठति ॥७॥
7. bhīma uvāca ,
anārambhaparo rājā valmīka iva sīdati ,
durbalaścānupāyena balinaṁ yo'dhitiṣṭhati.

| durbalaḥ ca anupāyena balinam yaḥ adhitiṣṭhati
7. Bhīma said: "A king who avoids initiating actions decays like an anthill. Similarly, a weak person who, without proper means, tries to confront a strong opponent (will also fail)."
