महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-15, chapter-5, verse-9

विशेषतस्तु दह्यामि वर्षं पञ्चदशं हि वै ।
अस्य पापस्य शुद्ध्यर्थं नियतोऽस्मि सुदुर्मतिः ॥९॥
9. viśeṣatastu dahyāmi varṣaṁ pañcadaśaṁ hi vai ,
asya pāpasya śuddhyarthaṁ niyato'smi sudurmatiḥ.
9. viśeṣataḥ tu dahyāmi varṣam pañcadaśam hi vai
asya pāpasya śuddhyartham niyataḥ asmi sudurmatiḥ
9. tu viśeṣataḥ hi vai varṣam pañcadaśam dahyāmi.
asya pāpasya śuddhyartham sudurmatiḥ niyataḥ asmi.
9. But especially, for fifteen years now, I have indeed been burning (suffering intensely). For the purification of this sin, I, a very evil-minded person, remain bound (by my actions).
