यच्चाहं वासुदेवस्य वाक्यं नाश्रौषमर्थवत् ।
वध्यतां साध्वयं पापः सामात्य इति दुर्मतिः ॥३॥

And I, of foolish intellect (durmati), did not heed the meaningful words of Vasudeva (Kṛṣṇa), which were, 'Indeed, let this sinner, along with his ministers, be slain!'
