महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-15, chapter-5, verse-3

यच्चाहं वासुदेवस्य वाक्यं नाश्रौषमर्थवत् ।
वध्यतां साध्वयं पापः सामात्य इति दुर्मतिः ॥३॥
3. yaccāhaṁ vāsudevasya vākyaṁ nāśrauṣamarthavat ,
vadhyatāṁ sādhvayaṁ pāpaḥ sāmātya iti durmatiḥ.
3. yat ca aham vāsudevasya vākyam na aśrauṣam arthavat
vadhyatām sādhu ayam pāpaḥ sa-amātyaḥ iti durmatiḥ
3. ca aham durmatiḥ,
vāsudevasya arthavat vākyam na aśrauṣam,
(yat vākyam āsīt) "sādhu ayam pāpaḥ sa-amātyaḥ vadhyatām" iti
3. And I, of foolish intellect (durmati), did not heed the meaningful words of Vasudeva (Kṛṣṇa), which were, 'Indeed, let this sinner, along with his ministers, be slain!'
