क्रियतामुपहारोऽद्य त्र्यम्बकस्य महात्मनः ।
कृत्वोपहारं नृपते ततः स्वार्थे यतामहे ॥१॥

The brahmins said: "Let an offering be made today to the great-souled Tryambaka (Śiva). Having made this offering, O king, we shall then strive for our own objectives."
