महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-64, verse-17

पुत्राञ्छ्रियं च लभते यश्छत्रं संप्रयच्छति ।
चक्षुर्व्याधिं न लभते यज्ञभागमथाश्नुते ॥१७॥

17. putrāñchriyaṁ ca labhate yaśchatraṁ saṁprayacchati ,
cakṣurvyādhiṁ na labhate yajñabhāgamathāśnute.

17. The person who offers an umbrella receives sons and prosperity. He does not suffer from eye diseases, and furthermore, he partakes in the benefits of the (Vedic ritual) yajña.
