महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-64, verse-12

पिपासया न म्रियते सोपच्छन्दश्च दृश्यते ।
न प्राप्नुयाच्च व्यसनं करकान्यः प्रयच्छति ॥१२॥
12. pipāsayā na mriyate sopacchandaśca dṛśyate ,
na prāpnuyācca vyasanaṁ karakānyaḥ prayacchati.
12. pipāsayā na mriyate sa upacchandaḥ ca dṛśyate |
na prāpnuyāt ca vyasanam karakān yaḥ prayacchati
12. yaḥ karakān prayacchati sa pipāsayā na mriyate,
ca upacchandaḥ dṛśyate ca vyasanam na prāpnuyāt
12. One who offers water pots (karaka) does not die of thirst, and is seen to experience pleasant circumstances; nor does he encounter misfortune.
