महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-141, verse-14

एवं तु वर्तमानस्य तस्य वृत्तिं दुरात्मनः ।
अगमत्सुमहान्कालो न चाधर्ममबुध्यत ॥१४॥
14. evaṁ tu vartamānasya tasya vṛttiṁ durātmanaḥ ,
agamatsumahānkālo na cādharmamabudhyata.
14. evam tu vartamānasya tasya vṛttim durātmanaḥ
agamat sumahān kālaḥ na ca adharmam abudhyata
14. evam tu vartamānasya tasya durātmanaḥ vṛttim
sumahān kālaḥ agamat ca saḥ adharmam na abudhyata
14. As that wicked person continued his life in this manner, a very long time passed, and he did not comprehend his unrighteousness (adharma).
