महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-113, verse-8

स चकार तदालस्यं वरदानात्स दुर्मतिः ।
न चैच्छच्चरितुं गन्तुं दुरात्मा कालमोहितः ॥८॥
8. sa cakāra tadālasyaṁ varadānātsa durmatiḥ ,
na caicchaccarituṁ gantuṁ durātmā kālamohitaḥ.
8. saḥ cakāra tadā ālasyam varadānāt saḥ durmatiḥ
na ca aicchat caritum gantum durātmā kālamohitaḥ
8. varadānāt saḥ durmatiḥ kālamohitaḥ durātmā tadā
ālasyam cakāra ca caritum gantum na aicchat
8. Because of the boon, that ill-minded (durmati) camel, whose soul had become corrupted (durātmā) and who was deluded by time (kāla), then became lazy and did not wish to go and graze.
