महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-113, verse-21

इदं हि सद्भिः कथितं विधिज्ञैः पुरा महेन्द्रप्रतिमप्रभाव ।
मयापि चोक्तं तव शास्त्रदृष्ट्या त्वमत्र युक्तः प्रचरस्व राजन् ॥२१॥
21. idaṁ hi sadbhiḥ kathitaṁ vidhijñaiḥ; purā mahendrapratimaprabhāva ,
mayāpi coktaṁ tava śāstradṛṣṭyā; tvamatra yuktaḥ pracarasva rājan.

purā mahendrapratimaprabhāva
mayā api ca uktam tava śāstradṛṣṭyā

21. Indeed, this has been recounted by virtuous persons and those knowledgeable in righteous conduct (dharma) in ancient times, O you whose influence rivals Mahendra. And I have also conveyed it to you from the perspective of the scriptures. Therefore, O King, you should act suitably in this matter.
