महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-42, verse-4

जरत्कारुरुवाच ।
ममायं पितरो नित्यं हृद्यर्थः परिवर्तते ।
ऊर्ध्वरेताः शरीरं वै प्रापयेयममुत्र वै ॥४॥

4. jaratkāruruvāca ,
mamāyaṁ pitaro nityaṁ hṛdyarthaḥ parivartate ,
ūrdhvaretāḥ śarīraṁ vai prāpayeyamamutra vai.

4. Jaratkāru said: 'O ancestors, this resolve is always in my heart: I wish to attain the other world with a body that has preserved its vital energy (through celibacy).'

4. ג׳ַרַטְקָארוּ אמר, אבותיי, המחשבה הזאת מתהפכת בליבי תמיד, שאשא את גופי לעולם הבא כשאני שומר על ריסון הזרע.
