महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-42, verse-20

ततो नाम स कन्यायाः पप्रच्छ भृगुनन्दन ।
वासुके भरणं चास्या न कुर्यामित्युवाच ह ॥२०॥
20. tato nāma sa kanyāyāḥ papraccha bhṛgunandana ,
vāsuke bharaṇaṁ cāsyā na kuryāmityuvāca ha.
20. tataḥ nāma sa kanyāyāḥ papraccha bhṛgunandana
vāsuke bharaṇam ca asyāḥ na kuryām iti uvāca ha
20. Then, O son of Bhṛgu, he (the sage) asked the daughter's name. And he also said, "O Vasuki, I will not undertake her maintenance."
