महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-42, verse-13

निवेशार्थ्यखिलां भूमिं कन्याभैक्षं चरामि भोः ।
दरिद्रो दुःखशीलश्च पितृभिः संनियोजितः ॥१३॥
13. niveśārthyakhilāṁ bhūmiṁ kanyābhaikṣaṁ carāmi bhoḥ ,
daridro duḥkhaśīlaśca pitṛbhiḥ saṁniyojitaḥ.
13. niveśārthī akhilām bhūmim kanyābhaikṣam carāmi
bhoḥ daridraḥ duḥkhaśīlaḥ ca pitṛbhiḥ saṃniyojitaḥ
13. O sir, I wander the entire earth for a maiden as alms, seeking a place to settle, poor and wretched, having been commanded by my ancestors.
