महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-42, verse-3

पितर ऊचुः ।
पुत्र दिष्ट्यासि संप्राप्त इमं देशं यदृच्छया ।
किमर्थं च त्वया ब्रह्मन्न कृतो दारसंग्रहः ॥३॥
3. pitara ūcuḥ ,
putra diṣṭyāsi saṁprāpta imaṁ deśaṁ yadṛcchayā ,
kimarthaṁ ca tvayā brahmanna kṛto dārasaṁgrahaḥ.
3. pitaraḥ ūcuḥ putra diṣṭyā asi saṃprāptaḥ imam deśam
yadṛcchayā kimartham ca tvayā brahman akṛtaḥ dārasaṅgrahaḥ
3. The ancestors said: 'O son, it is by good fortune that you have reached this place by chance! And why, O Brāhmaṇa, have you not taken a wife?'
