महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-194, verse-9

आर्यवृत्तश्च पाञ्चाल्यो न स राजा धनप्रियः ।
न संत्यक्ष्यति कौन्तेयान्राज्यदानैरपि ध्रुवम् ॥९॥
9. āryavṛttaśca pāñcālyo na sa rājā dhanapriyaḥ ,
na saṁtyakṣyati kaunteyānrājyadānairapi dhruvam.
9. āryavṛttaḥ ca pāñcālyaḥ na saḥ rājā dhanapriyaḥ |
na saṃtyakṣyati kaunteyān rājyadānaiḥ api dhruvam
9. Furthermore, the King of Pañcāla is of noble character; he is not a ruler who loves wealth. He will certainly not abandon the sons of Kuntī (Kaunteyāḥ), even with gifts of kingdoms.
