जानन्नपि च वः पार्थ कृतवानिह धर्षणाम् ॥९॥

But, O Pārtha, even though I knew your excellent intellect and pure mind (manobuddhi)—you whose selves (ātman) are cultivated—I have, in this situation, committed an offense against you.
