महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-144, verse-8

तद्विदित्वास्मि संप्राप्तश्चिकीर्षुः परमं हितम् ।
न विषादोऽत्र कर्तव्यः सर्वमेतत्सुखाय वः ॥८॥
8. tadviditvāsmi saṁprāptaścikīrṣuḥ paramaṁ hitam ,
na viṣādo'tra kartavyaḥ sarvametatsukhāya vaḥ.
8. tat viditvā asmi samprāptaḥ cikīrṣuḥ paramam hitam
na viṣādaḥ atra kartavyaḥ sarvam etat sukhāya vaḥ
8. Having known that, I have come here desiring to do what is of supreme benefit. There should be no despondency here; all of this is for your welfare.
