उत्तरैः कुरुभिः सार्धं दक्षिणाः कुरवस्तदा ।

tathā siddharṣicāraṇaiḥ na abhavat kṛpaṇaḥ
kaścit na abhavan vidhavāḥ striyaḥ

10. At that time, the southern Kurus, along with the northern Kurus, lived in a manner vying (in excellence) with the Siddhas, Ṛṣis, and Cāraṇas. No one was poor, and there were no widowed women.
