न च शून्यमनाद्यन्तं जगतः कारणं भवेत् ।
ब्रह्मामूर्तं समूर्तस्य दृश्यस्याब्रह्मरूपिणः ॥ १७ ॥

Nor can beginningless and endless emptiness (śūnya) be the cause of the world. Likewise, the formless (brahman) cannot be the cause of the formed, visible (world) which is not of the nature of (brahman).
