अब्दोऽपि व्याप्तिमानेकस्तुल्यकालं पृथक्क्रियाः ।
आह्लादस्तेन पादेन करोत्यनुभवत्यपि ॥ ९ ॥

9. abdaḥ api vyāptimān ekaḥ tulyakālam pṛthakkriyāḥ

9. Even a single, all-pervading year (abdaḥ) performs distinct activities simultaneously. By means of one of its parts (pādena), it generates joy (āhlādaḥ) and also experiences it.
