The two excellent sages (munī), tranquil (śaminau), free from all desired things (abhīpsitavarjitau), perfectly balanced and exceedingly even-minded (samasame atisamau), spontaneously welcomed the happiness (sukham) and freedom from unhappiness (asukham) that came to them, born of the sequence of their proper conduct (dharma).
