योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-65, verse-2

सर्वस्याभासजीवस्य मृतिजन्ममयी स्थितिः ।
भवत्येव चिदाकाशरूपिण्येवाकृतिं गता ॥ २ ॥
sarvasyābhāsajīvasya mṛtijanmamayī sthitiḥ ,
bhavatyeva cidākāśarūpiṇyevākṛtiṃ gatā 2

2. The condition of birth and death for every illusory individual soul (jīva) certainly arises when it assumes a form which is inherently the very nature of the ether of consciousness (cit-ākāśa).
