अक्षीयमाणं हि मनो मोहायैव न सिद्धये ।

Indeed, the mind, if it does not diminish, leads only to delusion, not to spiritual accomplishment. Like mist, it completely covers [the truth], and like a vetāla (vampire-like demon), it roams restlessly.
