वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-82, verse-14

यज्ञवाटश्च सुमहान् गोमत्या नैमिषे वने ।
आज्ञाप्यतां महाबाहो तद्धि पुण्यमनुत्तमम् ॥१४॥
14. yajñavāṭaśca sumahān gomatyā naimiṣe vane ,
ājñāpyatāṃ mahābāho taddhi puṇyamanuttamam.
14. yajñavāṭaḥ ca sumahān gomatyām naimiṣe vane
ājñāpyatām mahābāho tat hi puṇyam anuttamam
14. mahābāho ca gomatyām naimiṣe vane sumahān
yajñavāṭaḥ ājñāpyatām hi tat anuttamam puṇyam
14. And O mighty-armed one, let a very large Vedic ritual (yajña) enclosure be ordered in the Naimiṣa forest, near the Gomati river. Indeed, that place is unsurpassed in sacredness.
