वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-54, verse-19

स त्वं हत्वा मधुसुतं लवणं पापनिश्चयम् ।
राज्यं प्रशाधि धर्मेण वाक्यं मे यद्यवेक्षसे ॥१९॥
19. sa tvaṃ hatvā madhusutaṃ lavaṇaṃ pāpaniścayam ,
rājyaṃ praśādhi dharmeṇa vākyaṃ me yadyavekṣase.
19. saḥ tvam hatvā madhusutam lavaṇam pāpaniścayam
rājyam praśādhi dharmeṇa vākyam me yadi avekṣase
19. saḥ tvam pāpaniścayam madhusutam lavaṇam hatvā
dharmeṇa rājyam praśādhi yadi me vākyam avekṣase
19. Therefore, you, having killed Lavana, the son of Madhu, who is evil-minded, should govern the kingdom in accordance with natural law (dharma), if you heed my instruction.
