वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-5, chapter-26, verse-7

दुःखं बतेदं मम दुःखिताया मासौ चिरायाभिगमिष्यतो द्वौ ।
बद्धस्य वध्यस्य यथा निशान्ते राजापराधादिव तस्करस्य ॥७॥
7. duḥkhaṃ batedaṃ mama duḥkhitāyā māsau cirāyābhigamiṣyato dvau ,
baddhasya vadhyasya yathā niśānte rājāparādhādiva taskarasya.
7. duḥkham bata idam mama duḥkhitāyāḥ
māsau cirāya abhigamiṣyataḥ

7. Alas, for me, who is so sorrowful, these two months will pass very slowly. It is like a thief, bound and condemned to execution, awaiting the dawn after having committed a royal offense.
