वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-55, verse-12

स सुखी गृध्रराजस्तु रावणेन हतो रणे ।
मुक्तश्च सुग्रीवभयाद्गतश्च परमां गतिम् ॥१२॥
12. sa sukhī gṛdhrarājastu rāvaṇena hato raṇe ,
muktaśca sugrīvabhayādgataśca paramāṃ gatim.

muktaḥ ca sugrīvabhayāt gataḥ ca parām gatim
12. gṛdhrarājaḥ tu saḥ raṇe rāvaṇena hataḥ sukhī

12. That king of vultures, Jaṭāyu, killed by Rāvaṇa in battle, became happy. He was also freed from the fear of Sugrīva and attained the supreme destination.
