वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-70, verse-11

प्रेतकार्याणि यान्यस्य कर्तव्यानि विशाम्पतेः ।
तान्यव्यग्रं महाबाहो क्रियतामविचारितम् ॥११॥
11. pretakāryāṇi yānyasya kartavyāni viśāmpateḥ ,
tānyavyagraṃ mahābāho kriyatāmavicāritam.

11. mahābāho,
yāni asya viśām-pateḥ preta-kāryāṇi kartavyāni,

11. O mighty-armed one, let those funeral rites (preta-kāryāṇi) which are to be performed for this lord of the people (viśāmpati) be carried out without distraction and without hesitation.
