वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-55, verse-16

स तादृशः सिंहबलो वृषभाक्षो नरर्षभः ।
स्वयमेव हतः पित्रा जलजेनात्मजो यथा ॥१६॥
16. sa tādṛśaḥ siṃhabalo vṛṣabhākṣo nararṣabhaḥ ,
svayameva hataḥ pitrā jalajenātmajo yathā.

svayam eva hataḥ pitrā jalajena ātmajaḥ yathā

16. Such a one, who possessed the strength of a lion, had eyes like a bull, and was the best among men, was killed by his own father, just as a lotus (born from water) is destroyed by water.
