वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-24, verse-8

अनुशिष्टास्मि मात्रा च पित्रा च विविधाश्रयम् ।
नास्मि संप्रति वक्तव्या वर्तितव्यं यथा मया ॥८॥
8. anuśiṣṭāsmi mātrā ca pitrā ca vividhāśrayam ,
nāsmi saṃprati vaktavyā vartitavyaṃ yathā mayā.

8. I have been instructed by my mother and by my father concerning various principles. I am not now to be told how I should conduct myself.
