वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-2, verse-26

उपविष्टे तदा तस्मिन् साक्षाल् लोकपितामहे ।
तद्गतेनैव मनसा वाल्मीकिर्ध्यानमास्थितः ॥२६॥
26. upaviṣṭe tadā tasmin sākṣāl lokapitāmahe ,
tadgatenaiva manasā vālmīkirdhyānamāsthitaḥ.

26. tada tasmin lokapitāmahe sākṣāt upaviṣṭe,

26. At that time, when the grandfather of the worlds (Brahmā) was personally seated there, Vālmīki, with his mind completely absorbed in that, entered into a state of meditation (dhyāna).
