बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-42, verse-14

कारकाद् वा विलग्नाद् वा रन्ध्रेरिष्फे द्विजोत्तम ।
कारकाङ्गपयोदृष्ट्या धनहीनः प्रजायते ॥१४॥
14. kārakād vā vilagnād vā randhreriṣphe dvijottama .
kārakāṅgapayodṛṣṭyā dhanahīnaḥ prajāyate.
14. kārakāt vā vilagnāt vā randhre riṣphe dvijottama
kāraka-aṅgayoḥ dṛṣṭyā dhana-hīnaḥ prajāyate
14. O best of Brahmins (dvijottama), if, counting either from the significator (kāraka) or from the ascendant, there are planets in the 8th or 12th houses, and these positions are aspected by the significator and the ascendant, then a person becomes deprived of wealth.
