यस्य पापः शुभो वापि ग्रहस्तिष्ठेत् शुभार्गले ।
तेन द्रष्ट्रेक्षितं लग्नं प्राबल्यायोपकल्प्यते ॥१२॥

12. yasya pāpaḥ śubho vāpi grahastiṣṭhet śubhārgale .
tena draṣṭrekṣitaṃ lagnaṃ prābalyāyopakalpyate.

12. yasya pāpaḥ śubhaḥ vā api grahaḥ tiṣṭhet śubhārgale
| tena draṣṭrā īkṣitam lagnaṁ prābālyāya upakalpyate

12. For whom (the native), if a malefic or benefic planet is situated in an auspicious `argala` (planetary intervention), then the ascendant (lagna) aspected by that planet becomes empowered.
