मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-64, verse-4

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
एवमस्त्विति तेनोक्ते धर्मज्ञेन स्वरोचिषा ।
द्वितीया तु तदा कन्या इदं वचनमब्रवीत् ॥४॥
4. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
evamastviti tenokte dharmajñena svarociṣā .
dvitīyā tu tadā kanyā idaṃ vacanamabravīt.
4. mārkaṇḍeyaḥ uvāca evam astu iti tena ukte dharmajñena
svarociṣā dvitīyā tu tadā kanyā idam vacanam abravīt
4. Mārkaṇḍeya said: When that self-resplendent one, who was a knower of natural law (dharma), accepted by saying 'So be it', then the second maiden spoke this word.
