महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-33, verse-14

तौ चैनं विधिवद्राजन्पूजयामासतुर्गुरुम् ।
ब्रह्माणमिव देवेशमिन्द्रोपेन्द्रौ मुदा युतौ ॥१४॥
14. tau cainaṁ vidhivadrājanpūjayāmāsaturgurum ,
brahmāṇamiva deveśamindropendrau mudā yutau.
14. tau ca enam vidhivat rājan pūjayāmāsatuḥ gurum
brahmāṇam iva deveśam indra-upendrau mudā yutau
14. rājan! mudā yutau tau (kṛṣṇa-sātyakī) vidhivat enam (balarāmaṃ) gurum pūjayāmāsatuḥ,
indra-upendrau deveśam brahmāṇam iva.
14. O King, those two (Krishna and Satyaki), filled with joy, respectfully honored him (Balarama), their elder and spiritual teacher (guru), according to the proper rites, just as Indra and Upendra (Vishnu) would worship Brahma, the lord of the gods.
