अन्यथा मां चिकीर्षन्तमन्यथा मन्यसेऽच्युत ।
प्रणीतभावमत्यन्तं युधि सत्यपराक्रमम् ॥२॥

O Acyuta, you perceive me (māṃ) as intending to act (cikīrṣantam) in one manner (anyathā), while you view me (manyase) in another light (anyathā). Yet, I am one of utterly devoted nature (praṇītabhāvam atyantam) and true valor (satyaparākramam) in battle (yudhi).
