महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-54, verse-7

ततो द्रौणिर्धनूंष्यष्टौ व्यपक्रम्य नरर्षभम् ।
पुनरभ्याहनत्पार्थं हृदये कङ्कपत्रिभिः ॥७॥
7. tato drauṇirdhanūṁṣyaṣṭau vyapakramya nararṣabham ,
punarabhyāhanatpārthaṁ hṛdaye kaṅkapatribhiḥ.
7. tataḥ drauṇiḥ dhanūṃṣi aṣṭau vyaprakramya nararṣabham
punaḥ abhyāhanat pārtham hṛdaye kaṅkapatribhiḥ
7. Then Droṇi (Aśvatthāmā), after moving away from the best of men (Arjuna) and taking up eight bows, again struck Pārtha (Arjuna) in the heart with arrows feathered with heron feathers.
