महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-54, verse-6

ततो द्रौणिर्महावीर्यः पार्थस्य विचरिष्यतः ।
विवरं सूक्ष्ममालोक्य ज्यां चिच्छेद क्षुरेण ह ।
तदस्यापूजयन्देवाः कर्म दृष्ट्वातिमानुषम् ॥६॥
6. tato drauṇirmahāvīryaḥ pārthasya vicariṣyataḥ ,
vivaraṁ sūkṣmamālokya jyāṁ ciccheda kṣureṇa ha ,
tadasyāpūjayandevāḥ karma dṛṣṭvātimānuṣam.
6. tataḥ drauṇiḥ mahāvīryaḥ pārthasya
vicariṣyataḥ vivaram sūkṣmam ālokya
jyām ciccheda kṣureṇa ha tat asya
apūjayan devāḥ karma dṛṣṭvā atimānuṣam
6. Then, Droṇi (Aśvatthāmā), the mighty hero, having observed a small opening (vulnerability) as Pārtha (Arjuna) was moving about, indeed cut his bowstring with an arrow. Having seen that superhuman deed of his, the gods praised it.
