महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-54, verse-4

महांश्चटचटाशब्दो योधयोर्हन्यमानयोः ।
दह्यतामिव वेणूनामासीत्परपुरंजय ॥४॥
4. mahāṁścaṭacaṭāśabdo yodhayorhanyamānayoḥ ,
dahyatāmiva veṇūnāmāsītparapuraṁjaya.

dahyatām iva veṇūnām āsīt parapuraṃjaya
4. O conqueror of enemy cities, there was a great crackling sound, like that of burning bamboos, as the two warriors were being struck.
