महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-98, verse-15

करेणुभिर्वारणैश्च प्रभिन्नकरटामुखैः ।
सरोऽवगाढैः क्रीडद्भिः समन्तादनुनादितम् ॥१५॥
15. kareṇubhirvāraṇaiśca prabhinnakaraṭāmukhaiḥ ,
saro'vagāḍhaiḥ krīḍadbhiḥ samantādanunāditam.
15. kareṇubhiḥ vāraṇaiḥ ca prabhinnakaraṭāmukhaiḥ
saraḥ avagāḍhaiḥ krīḍadbhiḥ samantāt anunāditam
15. It was filled with sounds from all around by female elephants and male elephants, whose temples streamed with rut-fluid, as they entered the lake and played.
