महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-56, verse-10

तमक्षमदसंमत्तं सुहृदां न तु कश्चन ।
निवारणेऽभवच्छक्तो दीव्यमानमचेतसम् ॥१०॥
10. tamakṣamadasaṁmattaṁ suhṛdāṁ na tu kaścana ,
nivāraṇe'bhavacchakto dīvyamānamacetasam.

nivāraṇe abhavat śaktaḥ dīvyamānam acetasam
10. But among his friends, no one was capable of stopping him, who was completely infatuated by the intoxication of dice and was playing senselessly.
