महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-128, verse-4

कुररीणामिवार्तानामपाकृष्य तु तं सुतम् ।
विशस्य चैनं विधिना वपामस्य जुहाव सः ॥४॥
4. kurarīṇāmivārtānāmapākṛṣya tu taṁ sutam ,
viśasya cainaṁ vidhinā vapāmasya juhāva saḥ.
4. kurarīṇām iva ārtānām apākṛṣya tu tam sutam
viśasya ca enam vidhinā vapām asya juhāva saḥ
4. But having pulled that son away from them, just like distressed ospreys (kurarī), he (the priest) slaughtered him according to the prescribed rites (vidhi), and then offered his omentum into the sacrificial fire (yajña).
