महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-128, verse-5

वपायां हूयमानायां गन्धमाघ्राय मातरः ।
आर्ता निपेतुः सहसा पृथिव्यां कुरुनन्दन ।
सर्वाश्च गर्भानलभंस्ततस्ताः पार्थिवाङ्गनाः ॥५॥
5. vapāyāṁ hūyamānāyāṁ gandhamāghrāya mātaraḥ ,
ārtā nipetuḥ sahasā pṛthivyāṁ kurunandana ,
sarvāśca garbhānalabhaṁstatastāḥ pārthivāṅganāḥ.
5. vapāyām hūyamānāyām gandham āghrāya
mātaraḥ ārtāḥ nipetuḥ sahasā
pṛthivyām kurunandana sarvāḥ ca garbhān
alabhanta tataḥ tāḥ pārthivāṅganāḥ
5. O delight of the Kurus (kurunandana), as the omentum was being offered, the mothers, smelling the scent, became distressed and suddenly fell to the earth (pṛthivī). Then, all those royal women (pārthivāṅganāḥ) conceived.
