सोमक उवाच ।
ब्रह्मन्यद्यद्यथा कार्यं तत्तत्कुरु तथा तथा ।
पुत्रकामतया सर्वं करिष्यामि वचस्तव ॥१॥

Somaka said: 'O Brahmin (brahman), whatever is to be done and however it is to be done, please do it exactly that way. Out of my strong desire for sons, I will perform everything according to your instructions.'
