महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-103, verse-16

एवमुक्तः प्रत्युवाच भगवान्मुनिपुंगवः ।
जीर्णं तद्धि मया तोयमुपायोऽन्यः प्रचिन्त्यताम् ।
पूरणार्थं समुद्रस्य भवद्भिर्यत्नमास्थितैः ॥१६॥
16. evamuktaḥ pratyuvāca bhagavānmunipuṁgavaḥ ,
jīrṇaṁ taddhi mayā toyamupāyo'nyaḥ pracintyatām ,
pūraṇārthaṁ samudrasya bhavadbhiryatnamāsthitaiḥ.

munipuṅgavaḥ jīrṇam tat hi mayā toyam
upāyaḥ anyaḥ pracityatām pūraṇārtham
samudrasya bhavadbhiḥ yatnam āsthitaiḥ
16. Addressed in this way, the venerable (bhagavān) chief among ascetics replied, 'Indeed, that water has been digested by me. Therefore, another means should be devised by you, who are making efforts to fill the ocean.'
