महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-16, chapter-2, verse-13

अथाब्रवीत्तदा वृष्णीञ्श्रुत्वैवं मधुसूदनः ।
अन्तज्ञो मतिमांस्तस्य भवितव्यं तथेति तान् ॥१३॥
13. athābravīttadā vṛṣṇīñśrutvaivaṁ madhusūdanaḥ ,
antajño matimāṁstasya bhavitavyaṁ tatheti tān.
13. atha abravīt tadā vṛṣṇīn śrutvā evam madhusūdanaḥ
antajñaḥ matimān tasya bhavitavyam tathā iti tān
13. atha evam śrutvā antajñaḥ matimān madhusūdanaḥ tadā
tān vṛṣṇīn abravīt tasya bhavitavyam tathā iti
13. Then, having heard this, the sagacious Krishna (madhusūdana), who understood the ultimate outcome, spoke to those Vrishnis, acknowledging that "such must be the destiny (bhavitavya)."
